Class Clowns Comedy Program

Class Clowns is a youth stand-up comedy competition run as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, designed to encourage creativity, confidence, and performance skills among secondary school students across Australia.

The program begins with workshops and school-based heats where students learn the fundamentals of stand-up comedy, joke writing, timing, and stage performance. Selected participants progress through regional and state finals before reaching the national finals in Melbourne.

The Class Clowns National Finals showcase the best young comedic talent in the country, with students performing original stand-up routines in front of live audiences and industry professionals.
